Beginner mistakes that keep you broke

Most players who go broke in their first week make the same few mistakes. Avoid these and you're already ahead.

The ten to avoid

  1. Partying before rent is paid. Quilox is fun and expensive. Put rent aside first. Players report it's due every Saturday.
  2. Leaving shifts early. It cuts your pay. Finish every shift, and try to win four tasks for the bonus.
  3. Working hungry or tired. Low needs drag your performance down and can cost you a promotion. Eat and take a break before each shift.
  4. Training a bit of everything. Pick the skill your next promotion names and stick with it.
  5. Buying a business with your last naira. Every business has bad days. Keep a cushion so one bad week doesn't take your rent.
  6. Panic-selling. Selling a business returns only about 60% of what you paid.
  7. Grabbing the cheapest land. Players say cheap plots are the likeliest to attract omo-onile demanding a cut.
  8. Betting to get rich. Players say it has the worst odds in the game.
  9. Sending money to every "abeg". You can help a friend, but you don't owe strangers anything.
  10. Downloading a "Lagos Life APK" or buying game money. There's no official app, and game naira can't be cashed out. Both are scams.

One bonus tip

If the game won't load, you're probably inside TikTok, X or Instagram's built-in browser. Open it in Chrome or Safari instead.
